(Project completed!) The brand-new youth and sports complex in Nieuwpoort is officially open. After the Wielerdroom in Heusden-Zolder, this is the second large-scale sports facility we have completed in one year with B-architecten.
(We won!) B-architecten wins mini-competition for 19 modular houses and 18 flats in Hemiksem together with modular home builder Skilpod. The competition was organized as part of the four-year framework contract ‘Modular Housing’ of the Flemish Government.
(In the headlines!) B on the cover of the De Standaard culture section: our B-cinema as part of an article on ‘the rediscovery of the cinema’, or how old movie theatres are given a new soul. Likewise, we breathed new life into the former Cinema Lux in Antwerp, turning it into an extension of our headquarters. Read the full piece >here<
It's official: Roeselare's new town hall has opened its doors. Everyone is now able to admire the extensive renovation and expansion of the building complex. >Learn more!<
(Award news!) We are proud to share that our Heem cohousing project Qville was selected as a finalist in the first edition of the European Collective Housing Award.
(We won) The winners of the Renaat Braemprijs have been revealed. We are more than proud to share that De Academie got to take home the public jury prize!
Organising an architecture firm: how does one do it? NAV paid B a visit and interviewed us, as well as three other architecture studios, about how we organise our daily operations. Indeed, we scrutinised that structure a few years ago and made major adjustments. We transformed our office from a traditional top-down business model to a self-managing, horizontal organisation.
