Community center Libérateurs is a meeting point for the people of the canal district in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek and offers coaching to youngsters after school.
The new stairway gives the community center a new backbone. The new transparent façade and the folding gate offer the neighbourhood a clear view of the center’s inside activities.
On the ground floor there is a reception area, a multi-purpose hall, an exposition area, two office rooms and the restrooms. The multi-purpose room on the second floor has folding partitions that allow a flexible use into three zones. On the second floor there is an IT studio and office rooms.
A large terrace stretches out on the roof, offering a greenhouse that is used as a garden workshop. Finally, the attic is conceived as a reading-room with a library and a sitting room.
