The project is part of the four-year framework contract ‘Wonen in Vlaanderen’ of the Flemish Government, developed by B-architecten in collaboration with Skilpod and Wolfe.

Located on a busy access road into Ghent, the site required a design that carefully integrates into its built surroundings while introducing a new collective living environment. The modular building volume follows a stepped profile that ensures light, air and privacy for residents and neighbours alike. Behind the building, a residents’ garden forms a calm green core with multiple zones, a wadi, garden pavilion and bicycle storage.

The outdoor spaces promote biodiversity and reuse of rainwater. Three underground tanks and permeable pathways support a sustainable, climate-resilient living environment.
